Coaching for Change

Transitioning from where you are to where you need to be.

Why it Works

Something is not working and you want that ‘something’ to change.  You’re not as efficient, as productive, as creative as you want to be. You don’t get along well with the team.  You want to be more successful, more profitable.  You want to stand out as ‘leader’

Change is never easy.  It takes courage and a strong understanding of the process.  Mergers, acquisitions, downsizing, new promotions, team underperformance, and the desire for better interpersonal relationships bring ‘change’ to the forefront.  Skilled, experienced individuals find themselves thrown into unfamiliar situations, facing uncertainty when unexpected (and inevitable) change occurs.  You’ve read about it, the concept of what needs to happen is present, yet the actual event or circumstance has never happened—until now.   What behaviors and skills are needed?  What do you do to insure you are performing at your level best?   The answer:  hire a coach.

Leaders experiencing change need the opportunity to gain one-on-one insight into the process of change.  Leadership Strategies’ offers a pool of coaches with the knowledge, experience and advanced training skills to work with individuals and organizations on change-related issues.  Powerful questioning, inquiries, requests and accountability, as well as effectual exercises can produce extraordinary results.

Change Coaching addresses both the hard side and the soft side of issues.  The hard side looks at the systems and structures of what’s causing the angst (i.e., I’m not as effective as I want to be with my budgeting process.)  The soft side explores relationship management (i.e., I’m not getting along with certain people as well as I’d like.)  The process examines what you can do, and what needs to be looked at in order to change a particular set of circumstances.

Learn How To

Understand the nature of change.  Utilize coaching as an objective mirror, reflecting back to you things you didn’t see before.  Choose new ways of being creative.  Access tools to actively make changes occur.   Act before reacting.  Know the wise leader that you are and demonstrate your strengths.

Objectives

  • Prioritize and understand what’s really going on before taking action
  • Assess specific causes and effects, defining what needs to be different
  • Brainstorm solutions, bringing new and different perspectives
  • Enable the re-visioning of what it is you really want
  • Offer support and provide objective listening
  • Provide vehicles that unfold the answers
  • Define the most effective behaviors that align personal and corporate goals
