Asking the Right Questions
Our relationships with clients can be strained because we don't understand, or misunderstand, their critical objectives. Unfortunately, clients don't always tell us what their objectives are. If we proceed without a clear target, we might still meet their needs. But, we might also miss their objectives entirely. In our experience, the key tool for understanding client objectives is asking the right questions! When gathering information about a potential project from your clients, consider the following question matrix as a guide:
