Contemplative Leadership

Guest Author: Eileen Dowse

Leaders today are being encouraged to practice Contemplative Leadership as a means of achieving results.

The word contemplative comes from the Latin word 'contemplare' which means looking forwards or looking at something using intuition. The word should not interchanged with the word reflective, which comes from the root 'reflectaire' which means to look back.

The word leadership on the other hand, is a little bit more complicated in its definition.
