Why This Course Is Different

Most AI courses teach people how to use AI.
This course teaches facilitators how to use AI to become better facilitators.

The Certified AI-Enabled Facilitator is the first hands-on workshop designed specifically for the people who design and lead collaborative sessions. Instead of generic prompting tips, you learn a repeatable methodology for using AI across the work you actually do — preparing for sponsor interviews, designing agendas, anticipating what happens in the room, and documenting outcomes — so you can work faster, think more strategically, and deliver higher-quality sessions.

The Facilitation Lifecycle, AI-Enabled

What the Certified AI-Enabled Facilitator Course Teaches

Most AI training teaches generic prompting. This is different. You'll learn a practical, repeatable way to put AI to work across the whole arc of your sessions — before, during, and after — so every meeting you run gets easier and better.

Before · Prepare

Show up ready

Use AI to map stakeholders, surface competing agendas, and sharpen your sponsor interviews — so you walk in with a clear read on the room and a stronger agenda before you’ve said a word.

Before · Design

Build a better agenda, faster

Draft stronger agendas, process designs, timings, and opening statements in a fraction of the time — grounded in your stakeholder read, not guesswork.

During · Facilitate

Stay sharp in the room

Learn where AI helps live — and where it shouldn't — so you facilitate with more confidence and fewer surprises.

After · Document

Reclaim your post-session hours

Turn raw discussion into themes, action items, and polished summaries — so the work that used to eat your evening takes minutes.

Questions, Answered

Certified AI-Enabled Facilitator — Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Certified AI-Enabled Facilitator course?
The Certified AI-Enabled Facilitator is a hands-on, two-day virtual workshop that teaches facilitators, project managers, and leaders a practical methodology for applying AI across the entire facilitation lifecycle — from preparing for sponsor interviews and designing agendas to anticipating issues and documenting outcomes. It is the first certification focused specifically on AI for facilitation rather than generic AI use.
Do I need prior AI experience to take the Certified AI-Enabled Facilitator course?
No. The course is designed for beginners as well as experienced AI users. You'll learn both the fundamentals and the practical applications of AI in facilitation, so you can start where you are and leave with a repeatable system.
Do I need to be a professional facilitator?
No. While facilitators are the primary audience, project managers, program leaders, consultants, HR and L&D professionals, and anyone who leads meetings and collaborative sessions will benefit. If you run the room, this course is for you.
Which AI tools are covered?
The course explores leading AI tools including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, and Perplexity, plus specialized tools used for presentation creation and session documentation. You'll learn which tool fits which facilitation task — not just how each one works.
Is this just a course on prompting?
No. Prompting is an important skill that is well covered — including the Facilitator's Power Prompt™ methodology — but the course focuses on applying AI across the entire facilitation lifecycle. You learn when and how to use AI to improve specific facilitation tasks.
Is this a replacement for The Effective Facilitator?
No. The Effective Facilitator teaches the methodologies and techniques required to facilitate highly effective sessions. The Certified AI-Enabled Facilitator shows you how to use AI to support and enhance those practices. Some participants take The Effective Facilitator first, some take it after, and some take only one — they complement each other.
How is the certification earned and renewed?
The certification test is optional. To earn the Certified AI-Enabled Facilitator (CAEF) designation, complete the six hands-on exercises and pass the course assessment. The designation is renewed every two years through at least four hours of AI-related continuing education and a $125 renewal fee, with ongoing updates from the CAEF community.
How much hands-on practice is included?
A great deal — this is a workshop, not a lecture. You complete six hands-on exercises that mirror the actual work facilitators perform, so you walk away confident you can use what you've learned because you've already used it, six times.
